It's Pollen Time Again
It was just a matter of time... pine pollen time! Two days ago I checked out the pollen producing catkins on one of the pine trees near the garden as they're swelling. Tapping the branch didn't produce a yellow cloud of pollen.
But after I did a few things in the garden this morning and walked back to the house it's quite evident that some of the other trees are starting to turn it loose!
We're having some rain today and that will help knock some of the stuff down. I think the pollen is a little early this year so with luck maybe it will all be washed down by the time patrons arrive in town for the Masters golf tournament. Practice rounds will start Monday April 8.
