My 20 year old Troy-Bilt chipper shredder needed some carb work so it would start after about four years of not being used was put to work a couple days ago. Started right up and tore through a few tons of leaves after the flower beds were raked. Reduces at the rate of 12:1. All the tree limbs downed over the winter were reduced to chips. Even pruned several fruit trees and chipped that up. The 10 HP Briggs worked great. Why ever did I consider listing it on Marketplace?

Little far for me to drive, but if it was closer I'd have got a hold of them already. North Jersey though, too far for me.

You can do it. In my young teens my younger brother and I rode our bicycles from Northern New Jersey 70 miles to relatives in East Stroudsburg. We were only stopped once by the police on a busy road and were delayed about an hour while they called our parents to check if it was ok with them. If you are older and have a car it shouldn't be a problem. I suppose if you are far west in the state the 300 mile drive would still be easier than 70 miles on a bicycle.

Yeah it up off 80, so 40-50 miles to stroudsburg. Then east on 80. The risk reward for breaking down in north jersey just aint there for a chipper that is locked up and the guy might decide to give to someone else during that 2 hour drive out. 200 miles/14mpgx3.75 gal = $53.50 in gas just to play the game plus 4 hours of driving while praying others are paying attention to the road.
