This is this spring 2024. I uncovered my garlic and fertilized it for the first time this year.

I have more pics and some videos of later in the season somewhere. I will add to this post when I find them.

I am expanding the garden more this year so that I can have 4 rows of tomatoes, and where the peppers were is where I planted the garlic last October. The zucchini will be moving to the back fence, and peppers will be taking up that spot this year. I planted way to many zucchini last year  So on the back fence will be cucumbers half way down and then zucchini the rest of the way. I am taking down half the fence and using it for pole beans on a 10' tall tepee I built from pine trees.

This year I am planting ~
68 La Roma III paste tomatoes.
24 Hungarian Heart tomatoes.
24 Giant Garden paste tomatoes.
24 Cherry/Slicer/heart tomatoes from cousins (Sassafras Hill Greenhouse)

11 Boston pickling cucumber
11 Chicago pickling cucumber
11 National pickling cucumber

12 Jalapeno TAM peppers
12 Jalapeno M peppers
12 Bell peppers
06 Poblano peppers
04 Cayenne peppers
06 Jimmy Nardello peppers
0? What ever catches my eye at the green house hehe.

09 Black Beauty Zucchini
06 Cocozelle Zucchini

03 70' rows of Bluelake 274 bush green beans.
30 Bluelake pole green beans

400 heads of various garlic

0? Bouquet Dill about a 200 square foot area
0? Basil Genovese haven't determined yet.

I am sure I forgot some things, I always do

What a great garden and the soil looks terrific too. I would love to have a space like that to grow in. Lucky you!

If you's don't mind me asking, which County/TWSP do you's call home?

Methinks it lies outside the Driftless Area

That's quite a garden! Can't wait to see it all planted. Do you sell your produce?

I live in North Western Indiana Jasper county. I think it is outside of the driftless area. The area where I live was once a huge swamp. It has quite the history how they changed the entire area.

I'm working on it  This is a new garden. I moved to a new place last year, and I am starting all over again. Things are moving slower than I like, but at least I'm still moving forward. The plan is to specialize in Garlic sales eventually. I am going to increase my Garlic to 10,000 bulbs in the next two years. The rest of the produce I either can or share with friends and family. I make my own pasta sauce, marinara sauce, salsas, ect. That takes up hundreds of pounds of tomatoes. I grow everything organically as best as I can. If the garlic venture works out well, I might expand on other produce.

So to answer your question  eventually yes.

Noted, I thought NWI stood for Northwestern Illinois.
