Mystery Plant! Any Idea of ID?

This purple leafed whatever has popped up in a bed that gets a lot of shade after early morning sun passes by. I've never seen anything like it before. At one time (back in 2017) I had some Red Garnet Amaranth but not in that spot. Red Garnet leaves have entire margins and Mystery Plant's are serrated and the leaf shape is more lanceolate.
Any ideas?

No idea, but curious if you plan to let it grow to see what happens lol.

It does look like amaranth, or something in that family. Lovely color!

@PNW_D. I saw a red-leafed peach on your google lens. Someone on a different site where I also posed the question wondered about peach and asked if I had any peach trees nearby. That could be it.
Yes, there's a peach tree about 20-30' away that produced some peaches for the first time last year and yes, some critters messed with the fruit. Deer? Squirrels? No telling but I've never seen any red leaves on the tree.
BUT... there was another young peach (just two years old?) planted about 20' from the existing tree. Never did make a peach. That one (green leaved) got really damaged in a storm and eventually the scion died but not before putting out whips from the rootstock below the graft. The whips were this red color! We cut the whole mess off and away it went. So that makes me wonder if maybe the surviving tree has as its rootstock something that would also have red leaves. Is it possible that one of the pits from the surviving tree was buried by a squirrel this past fall and the mystery plant resembles the peach's ancestry?

Good thinking and detective work! Looks like some varieties of red-leaved peach trees are often used as rootstock. See here:

Great link, @Seven Bends ! I searched "red leafed peach tree" and among the batch of images right below the site you provided there a shot that looks just like what I have.
I'm going to let it grow but since it's in the shade it probably won't do much. Trying to successfully transplant it probably won't work. Or should I just go for it? It's about 15'18" tall. Maybe too long a tap root by now?
