Sorry for the slow response, been out working on the garden and putting up a hoophouse for my baby tomatoes.

Welcome! I used to live in Utah. Four real seasons! It was so hot during the summer that it was hard to keep the garden well watered even though water was really cheap back in the day. I had some luck with tomatoes and squash but not lettuce. The house I bought had apple, cherry, apricot and peach trees which produced a good crop if I gave them what they needed. Good luck with the fruit flies if you have a cherry tree.

We do have a cherry tree, it's soooo tall that last year most of the fruit went to waste. I need to see if the city has one of those non profits that pick all your fruit for the food pantry and give you a bit for letting them.
