I wonder if he tried my solution for this back in college - put hot peppers on everything, including desserts. Worked for me then, and I think cows have sensitive tongues - it's the birds that eat peppers without getting any heat.

The funniest part is afterward when he stands up to wash dishes and steps in a pile of manure. His nose is so accustomed to the smell that he didn't even realize the cow left him a present on the linoleum.
