Last night I took cuttings from a big tomato plant before I gave it to a relative.
I put the cuttings in a plastic cup with soggy potting soil on a heating mat under lights which were off at that time.
This a.m. I was going to bag it to keep moisture in but noticed overnight a spider extended his web to the plant .
So I will let him guard it and just keep an eye on it so it doesn't dry out before forming roots.
