I'm Troy, and I recently moved to Dover, Delaware, for work. I'm a horticulturist with a passion for cannabis cultivation. I’m excited to connect with fellow enthusiasts and professionals in the field.

Welcome to the Junction from Down Under @troy2702. Most of us on here are for growing what we eat rather than smoke although you will find some with similar experience.

Hi Troy, welcome from the White Mountains! I think you'll find we're mostly very passionate about tomatoes here but hopefully there's crossover info that's useful that flows both ways

Welcome to the Junction. I have learned a lot from the cannabis growers. They take their gardening very seriously and aren't afraid to experiment with things.

Welcome Troy. Yes, many of the tips developed by cannabis growers are very applicable to tomatoes. I'm sure your general horticultural experience will be a welcome addition to discussions here as well! Everyone here has a passion for gardening, and especially for growing delectable things to eat.

Several Marchs ago we needed a plumber and the visit took him into our basement where my two 4'X8' growing tables were packed full of tomatoes, peppers and flowers all under several growing lights with fans blowing on the greenery. He did a quick look and a fast turn around and asked if he should be there. When I explained the crops I was growing he became more comfortable and even asked a few questions.
Welcome to the forum...no matter the crop! Any tips will be welcome.

Too funny, I have a friend who is married to a policeman, and the year I got a batch of lights and set them up all around the house in the windows, she described the look as "grow op". (I've since seen an actual grow op and is nothing like it of course, had to be a closed room etcetera even only for pest and other issues management reasons.)
It is legal to grow cannabis here now, but I can't imagine giving up the space that I need for a bit of lettuce/greens or seedlings. Or full grown tomatoes!
I've heard though that that the troubles with growing cannabis are "just like tomatoes" ie a ton of trouble, afaict. Not easy, .... and yes indeed, all the grower tips will be very welcome!
