I was saddened to hear of his passing. I know him best as his voice acting of Mufasa and Darth Vader. He was 93. :(

One of my favorite of his many many roles was in The Hunt for Red October.
His voice … one of the all time best.

Class Act for over half a century. Liked him as Martin Lawrence's no nonsense Father in Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welcome_H ... oe_Jenkins), whose cast was a veritable Who's Who of Black actors.

Lawrence and Cedric the Entertainer are two (2) of the (IMO) funniest people in the known Universe.

James Earl Jones was an amazing actor and what a voice. Marvelously cast by Milius in Conan the Barbarian. I cannot imagine any other actor in that role. He was in so many movies.

The Greer role didn't make sense to me simply because Adm. James Greer was an old white guy from the 40s 50s 60s Navy. It was acted well, just made no sense. Imagine if they took off Vader's mask in ROTJ and it was James Earl Jones as Luke's father.

And Vader was really that tall English body builder. With the loose lips that ticked off Lucas lol.
