Thank you, everyone. It was a small rib, lol, but yes, coughing is not my favorite activity right now, and I do have a chronic Cough. I had to have this surgery before I could be listed for a possible lung transplant if I need one in the future. That likelihood seems to be getting a bit closer since I had the 2 bouts of Covid. I came through it fine but lost a bit more than 10% of my remaining lung function. Dying of Covid isn’t the only reason for me to avoid it at all costs. But I am doing well, I have lots of support, and this too shall pass. unfortunately they need to do the other side in a few weeks, so that will mean another trip to Boston. Thanks to all of you I was keeping up with posts and wordle from my hospital bed and staying entertained. I will probably let you all know if/when I need be to listed for a lung transplant because they said to expect to be in the hospital for at least a month minimum for that. If you don’t hear from me for a long time, I am not necessarily dead. Plus I will need MissS holding my hand through it.

@Sue_CT, you were the only rational voice I paid attention to during the Covid pandemic. I've been wanting to thank you for that. Now, get better, dammit!

Thank you for that, I sure made a lot of people mad during Covid.

Only found out about this now on this thread! I hope you continue to have a good recovery, and are able to get a lung transplant if, and when you need it! I always look forward to your posts, Covid or any other topic.
