Thanksgiving is a perfect opportunity to reflect on the many blessings in our lives. I am grateful for each and everyone of you that has walked through the door here. You all have made this such a warm and friendly place. May your day be filled with laughter and delicious food!

Spending it in Gatesville, Texas ( the town has a women's prison) with relatives (none of whom are in the prison).

I saw Gatesville and instantly thought prison.
I spent time at the male high security prison in Gatesville.
I was also in the Bastrop Federal prison up the road.

Sadly, Alice passed away last week. May she rest in peace but be remembered each year on Thanksgiving.

had an early dinner at quincys restaurant in dollar bay with friends barb, and bridget.
the place was packed. barbs health isn't so good now. she has battled a number of issues
over the years. she is one tough finn, and has been a very good friend.

winter storm held off until later in the day. winter watch is in effect. some areas could get
a significant amount of snow by saturday morning.

In Gatesville I was plowing inside the main gate during construction as a landscaper.
The federal prison i was replacing the fire suppression haling bottles for the paint shop and kitchen.
The prisoners did it under my supervision.
So no I wasn't an inmate.

I hope that you did too Sue!

Actually, I haven't celebrated Thanksgiving yet. I did make a turkey and I am always grateful for everything and everyone that comes my way. My daughter came down with covid, or something so we are waiting for her to recover. Hopefully sometime this week we can celebrate.
