Tesselaars Kabloom

To make my life a bit easier tracking down which plants I will need to order in our spring, plus provide a bit of colour for those in white season and anyone else whom feels they could do with something bright.

Kabloom is an Autumn garden show/festival put on by Tesselaars, whom originally imported Tulips into Australia and no doubt use it as advertising for there ranges of plants and to offset some of the cost of ground that would otherwise be idle for a fair chunk of the year. Massed plantings are the way they have gone here, with big blocks of individual plants repeated over and over. Not a large variety but massive numbers. Hopefully the full lenght bed shots from up in the Ferris Wheel will convey some sense of scale. Fortunately most plants have tags, even if one did have to hunt for some.

Many thanks, @Whwoz, the magnificent splashing of brilliant colors brightens up the cold bluster we have here!

On the road side of the property, where they have games and find the Fairy setup for young kids they have a number of beds that are planted with perianal plants, and this was one.

Having plant tags is a bonus too, even if you have to go hunting. Beats trying to guess or remember what was what months later when it’s time to order. Hopefully it gives you a solid list to work from come spring

The gardens are just amazing. It's a great place to see what is doing well in your area and to find new things to grow. I could wander around there all day.

Can you all imagine the army needed to keep this place tidy? Just Wow! It would be a lovely job though, in many ways.
Come gather 'round people / Wherever you roam / And admit that the waters

Around you have grown / And accept it that soon / You'll be drenched to the bone

If your time to you is worth savin'/ And you better start swimmin' / Or you'll sink like a stone

For the times they are a-changin' / Bob Dylan

@rxkeith , you got it in one.

@MissS yes it is a fantastic place to see what's going well and does take the best part of a day to see it all.

@JayneR13 I have no idea how many people are employed by Tessalars, but they must have most out there at planting time. Rough calculations lead me to think that somewhere around one million annuals get planted. What you don't see in the photos is that all of the Dahlias have been dead headed. Lots of extra work.
