the men of the church meet every friday at 7am for breakfast, and fellowship at
suomi restaurant here in houghton. on this good friday, one of them said that Jesus
went to the cross, and suffered for us willingly. he didn't complain. here we are, and
you have people who complain about every little thing. we really have nothing to complain
about. that hit home with me. i can have those days where every little thing that doesn't go
right can set me off. i really do have nothing to complain about.

I recall the time before I got married I helped 4 or 5 other girls my age dye Easter eggs at one of their houses for the kids in the area.
I was the only guy there.
My future wife knew and went to school with every one of them.
My future wife was raised a snob sort of but when she met my old girl friends she changed her mind about them and realized how nice and friendly they were.
My old girlfriends accepted her as family as well.
They just weren't raised as well off as my wife was.
There isn't a week goes by I don't think of those crazy girls and myself getting ready for Easter for the kids.

If I had figured out how to download my videos, I'd share a pic of the real easter rabbit here.
With little snow, there was no motivation to tear the bark off the trees this winter. What a blessing.

@Cornelius_Gotchberg I don’t have Gotch $$$, using strictly plastic eggs this year. But even the candy and trinkets and temporary tattoos for stuffing those adds up.

Careful not to hide those plastic eggs filled with goodies outside. My parents did that once for the grandchildren. When we got there and went outside for the egg hunt all of the eggs were opened and there were candy wrappers everywhere. Those squirrels definitely approved of the Easter Bunny. They had a blast.

One year some kids hid boiled Easter eggs all over the place including my place.
They never gathered them all and they were exploding.
Later one kid picked one up and it exploded in he's face with rotten egg.
It was hilarious.

@MissS I’m afraid the alternative is 30 kids inside my house, and that’s a hard no from me. Luckily our mongoose population is pretty in check right now, the eggs should be fairly safe. Probably gonna have a few with ants though

I think the critters around here would have a field day.
Raccoons squirrels possums fox stray chickens.
It's a regular zoo.

Don't know how the rest of you's celebrate Easter/Passover, but I'm spending part of this one planting Waltham Butternut and Table Queen Acorn Squarsh, Black Beauty and Gold Rush Zukes, and Sweet Success, Wautoma Heirloom, and WESconsin SMR-58 Cukes.

I also spread the wealth by dropping off a coupla nice Heirloom Tomatoes with fellow Tomato Rancher and neighbor @bboomer,

Let's hope he remembers The Gotch when he's harvesting those magnificent Kennebec Spuds...

Apparently everyone was taking videos today, so a couple screen grabs. Luckily some of our thirty kids turned out to be too mature for the egg hunt, so there was plenty to go around. Happy Easter y’all.

You're never to old to hunt for Easter eggs in my opinion.
