So far so good, except one spot with 3 Goose Creek seems to be infected with bacterial wilt. It is the warmest spot in the yard; it's not really surprising. Waiting for fruit to ripen. Back in CA days, the soil never recovered without intervention. After I pull those 3 plants, I'll scoop out all the soil for solarization then wrap in a tarp for heat sanitization. A bit worried about GGWT in the same row.
Today's harvest:
GGWT, NPS, 7/4, RQM, Pink Tiger, Snowberry, Violet Kirsch, Ambrosia Rose. Freebie "Big Hill" seeds I got is definitely growing like determinate, definitely not a large fruit and crazy fruit set. Very early. Not knowing the true color in person, I went ahead and picked the first ripe one (didn't feel ripe tho ). Not surprisingly, the taste was non-event. I didn't expect myself to grow anymore determinates, but I have 4 more determinate varieties that I thought tasted pretty good. 10 year old seeds!

First Moskvich. Huge . Been a few years, but I don't recall picking big ones. 5-6 oz. fruit was always my experience, to comfortably sit on my palm. Green ones are smaller, but they'll be 7-8 oz. Temp reaching 100F, but lows are still around 70F.

Don Camillo. I had seeds for years but never grew it.
Beautiful plant without crazy foliage growth. Deep pink/red, ever so slightly ribbed. Juicy, rich, and balanced. More like old fashioned taste. I had a phenomenal tomato sandwich, of course different good from my favorite GGWT sammich!

Finally my first Vorlon. Small-ish at 7.5 oz. Planted in a giant pot, so I don't expect the plant/fruit to get huge. It tasted just okay................so far GGWT and NPS win over this Vorlon. Hope the rest of the fruit will be better.

I agree! I also think NPS is outstanding though. Good red ones are good, but they're in a different category.

I didn't think I'd grow determinates again, but I decided to plant a few for fresh seeds, the ones I remember tasted pretty good. I may try to grow them to harvest in Feb-Mar.
Happy determinates after lots of haircuts. First Ondraszek was mushy without much flavor . Poranek. Pretty good!

Blane Horton's Anansi.
Very juicy & tasty, not overly sweet. Plant isn't very vigorous though. A bit mushy with tough skins, but I think it's the growing condition.
