Sam is gorgeous. I just noticed this thread. It was cool to watch him grow.
I did Embark breed & health tests on my current two dogs, too. (Wish I did it for my previous dogs.) It's cool to know what they are and that they don't have any of the genetic disease that Embark tests for.
Did you know that there's a Facebook group called "Embark Dog DNA Discussion"? It's fun to see photos of dogs and their results.

I didn't do the health test, just breed. It's cool that we can know. People always ask her breeds when they meet her (she's incredibly friendly). Uh... Golden retriever, chihuahua, heeler, pit, dachshund.... Lol. I'll probably say "retriever mix".

My vet was kind enough to place my 50/50 Pit Bull/Boxer mix as a Boxer mix on record.
It makes a huge difference in a world of prejudice against breeds.

She's almost 10 months old now. She's been cooped up too long with the smoke in the air, and I was finally able to get her to the dog park. And there was a super friendly greyhound. She chased him all over the place, they both got worn out.

Wow! She sure has grown! Such a pretty dog. I'll take a mutt, er, mixed breed any day.
I didn't know they had DNA breed tests for dogs. Sam sure has some markers of total opposites. Chihuahua? LOL!

We went for a walk today, weather was favorable, dogs got worn out pretty good. My sister's border collie mix is Sam's best friend and their energy levels are matched pretty well

We had a "yellow snow warning" last week. Made me giggle, but unfortunately no snow, just sleet.

Sam has turned into a beautiful dog. What a great head with those oh so intelligent eyes. Sleek and fit.
I just love watching dogs frolic in the snow. I have a puppy and when her feet disappeared in the snow as she walked out the door for the first time into it she was so curious as to where they went. Her head went under the snow to look for them. It was hilarious to watch. Now she goes out and digs and plays and then lays down to cool off. She too is a snow baby.
