Times are concerning right now and I know that we want to keep track of all of our friends. Many of us migrated here so that we could remain together. We have formed bonds that will last our lifetime. Others are new friends that we are so very happy to have met and would like to get to know better, we think you are great. During this time of illness and of unknown and uncharted territory, perhaps we should all pick a person or two to exchange personal information with in case we get sick. Kind of a buddy system where we can check on people every day. I think that it will be important to have a support system in place especially for our single and elderly population. We want to know how everybody is and don't want people just falling off our radar.

Also if you get sick and need something, we want to know! We are a strong group and will find a way to help you.

So please post here if you are feeling bad. Not just for the Corona virus, any illness that you may have.

this is a fabulous way to reach out. we are living in a time when many people have no close family to check in on a regular basis. having a friend or two no matter how far they are and able to at least make sure they are okay helps us cope a little better if we are feeling isolated.

I got a conference call from two of friends yesterday.
One in Arizona and one in Colorado.
Talked for about an hour.

Zoom has worked well for us in keeping up with friends, family; and acquaintances. We meet three times per week with three different groups. Some groups are large, some are smaller. It allows us to address problems, meet needs; and simply communicate face to face. We will probably continue some Zoom meetings even after the virus scare is over. It is simply more efficient to communicate in person on the web without traveling to specific meeting places. We can Zoom at any time we choose. My Wednesday morning meeting had seventy four people in it and it included one guy stranded in Austria.
