Tonight I baked a Browned Butter Banana Bread, the recipe for which I found in one of those free classes of Milk Street - the Spice Kitchen. The only spice in this is cardamom, which is bloomed in the browned butter, and the smell in here is wonderful. I'll be up late, waiting for the bread to cool, so I can sample it!

So, it only bakes for 10 minutes? How? It takes mine 50 minutes. I must admit, it looks delicious.

I would say that '10 minutes in the oven" comment refers to the bread having been in the oven for only 10 minutes, during which time it has risen to the top of the pan. Does not looked cooked to me. No real crust formed and split not present. Just checked recipe, 50 to 55 minutes required

That's exactly what that photo was - just showing how it had risen after 10 min in the oven.

It turned out really good, better the next day, than that first slice, @ about 1:30 yesterday morning. I tried it with some neufchatel cheese, and plain, and I liked it better plain. I liked it even more toasted, to give it a caramelized crust.

Another batch of this bread today, this time in the 9x5 pan they called for, not the elongated pan, I used the first time.
