Low of 30 this morning and the second day of heavy frost but the sun is coming above the trees across the road so the frost shouldn't last long.
No precip in the forecast until maybe a 30% chance on Tuesday.

46° here at the moment. Raining in a big way. Nothing but more rain on the way today and Monday, Sunday, is a dreary intermission. Forecast has some relief on the way of some sunny skies with warmer and drier air by Tuesday. Thanksgiving looks a little drippy, but thereafter Sunshine and pleasant fall temperatures.

I have more onions, garlic, tillage radish, et.al. still to plant, but it will likely have to be accomplished after Thanksgiving at this point.

we didn't get the big dump a couple days ago. we got off light with about 4 inches.
copper harbor at lands end got 10 inches. we did get another 4 inches or so yesterday
and over night. still snowing, another 2 to 4 inches possible here today, and more the next day, and so on, and so on.
temps in the low 20s, and dipping into the teens. i actually prefer it colder if it is going to snow.
this wet heavy snow just plays hell on the tractor.. the chute on the blower kept clogging. i had
to creep ever so slowly, just enough to keep the snow going into the chute, but not too fast to keep
the clogs to a minimum. burned more diesel than normal, but thats the way it goes. 30s, and snow is
tough to deal with. 66 inches of snow at one time like buffalo area got is tough.
we had one year where snow and wind created snow banks 4 to 5 feet high. i had to break the banks down with a shovel
so my wife in the tractor could blow the snow off the drive way. that was a job.
snow flurries into next week. the forecast says the temp. could be in the upper 30s thanksgiving. might rain, and snow.
not seeing much sun shine. just snowin, and blowin.

The lake effect snows this year are nuts. Over 5 feet in Orchard Park, NY in one 24 hour period, apparently setting a record. But, it is no joke for the folks having to live with these crippling and dangerous events.

Surprise sunshine here this morning since it wasn’t in the forecast. Still cool out at 48° and heading to 55°, but the extra light is nice especially after the nearly 2” of rain that took most of yesterday to fall. The wet is cramping my planting schedule, I’m chomping at the bit to finish up my onion and garlic planting. Need two or three consecutive days of dry weather to get it done.

Highs of low 50sF/ 11-12 C last couple of days and wet! Thunderstorms have dumped 65 mm/2.6 inches here over last two days with more to come, and here's me trying to get the last of the tomatoes, sweet potatoes and okra into the ground.

Tomorrow will be the last of the cold mornings, heading to 25 although the last time they said that a few days ago it only got to 28. We closed the ends of the bed tunnels for the night and since after tomorrow the lows will be back in the 40's, the plastic will come off and row cover sides rolled up.

Weather bomb here.
https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/ne ... is-weekend
Heavy rain and wind presently, but the big howler is tomorrow morning as the low plummets deeper, gale force and gusting 110 kph.
I was lucky that it didn't rain this afternoon as forecasted, so I got out and brought in the last tomato pots and their dirt, and gathered up or anchored down most everything I could find. That is after stocking up groceries and gas for the car while it's cheaper! this morning.
Not going anywhere tomorrow. :)
Forecast for tuesday is periods of snow, but IDK.... looks like we'll get off with a mere 2 cm! While the rest of the island goes deep.

Forecast is a bit like that for tomorrow (Tuesday) @Cornelius_Gotchberg , but not as much as yesterday or today. We lost power last night for about 4 hours due to the weather.

It got down to 27° out there last night; 24° one of the two nights before - lowest here, so far. Still only supposed to get to 44° - 10° below average, but 7° above yesterday! And I still see the trees swaying from that wicked wind. It definitely feels like winter.

Holy Smokes, Batman! the sun is out! Going to 68° today. 4+ inches of rain over the last seven days. But, chance for isolated tornadoes Thanksgiving. I’ll be giving thanks in advance for none of those, please.

@Tormato Lubbock and Amarillo look to be getting a winter storm. Doesn’t look like the snow will get any closer to us than those places. My friend is supposed to be on his way to Lubbock, I wonder if he’s seen the forecast. Lubbock is about the same distance from me as Boston is from Cleveland, OH.

Weather has really turned nasty here. We lost power for about 4 hours yesterday over supper and sunset hours - enough light to find the emergency kit at least. But not much fun having a cold supper in the dark - tuna sandwich, miaow.
I had a new light I just picked up the other day, so I managed to set that up over my seed cleaning bowl and so I spent the dark hours of dinner cleaning seeds. It was a relief to have something I could still do!
Anyhoo the weather is staying nasty, about 5 cm of snow down here and not too windy but still, windchill -8C, an icy cold with RH 78%. And it's going to get worse again tomorrow and tomorrow night, yech. Windchills -15C and the howler gusting over 100 kph in the middle of the night.

We wound up with close enough to 100mm/4 inches in 4 days, picking up over the next couple of days with Saturday forecast to get to 27C/80F before 6mm/1/4 inch early next week. Ground might dry out enough for me to get the rest of the tomatoes in.

Rain started late yesterday afternoon and by this morning we had 0.4". It should rain off and on all day with more Sunday and again next Wednesday. I'm thankful for any and all. Temps have returned to 60's for ten days.

Hear that noise? It's daikon radishes swelling! Time to get out the daikon kimchi recipe. :)

Started out rainy Friday, but by 1 pm, sun was out again. But it is very windy, and it keeps getting cloudy and sunny, due to that wind. I would have done something with the rest of those leaves, if it weren't for that wind! The temperature is about 55° - around average.

Cooler, and got some rain last night, thankful for that. 24 hour total for rain is 1.10 inches, should help a bit on the drought monitor. Bouncy weather, supposed to be up to a high of 73 this Wednesday, but some lows in the freezing range.
