If hair stylists and barbers are willing to work some long hours they can probably rake in the money to help with what they lost over the last 3 months.

That will be very hard to do, here. DIL says that when she has hair colour appointments that is all she can do for about 3 hrs. Not allowed to have more than one client at a time in the shop. Your rules may allow for more.
For DIL it will be difficult to recover losses even if she did keep very long hours.
Hair salons and other types of stores are charging COVID premiums that range from 5-25$.

You can always ask your trusted family member or friend if they would be willing to watch one of the many YouTube videos on how to cut hair during the pandemic and then try their skills on you.

If you are married, you could make it a date night and cut each others hair.

My wife used to cut family members hair in the house, actually usually outside, easier to clean up. I wouldn’t let her do mine except in the direst of circumstances. I’m one that has always enjoyed going to the barber or hair stylist. Lots of good things happen in hair style or barber shops. Robert, my longtime stylist, is sort of my culture guru. He’s up on the latest restaurants or films. I’ve done the black market thing decades ago and that’s still going on, but an in shop haircut is great. Makes me want to go somewhere and get a haircut with a hot shave. Back in the 1980s, The Goodall-Wooten barber in Austin did those along with some vibrating device on your shoulders and neck. Turned me into a happy piece of rubber, that shave and vibrating machine. Totally legitimate, not anything off color or weird, just old school barber stuff.

I have to get a new drivers license and I will be stuck with the "covid look" for the next 6 years.
I thought it was bad after 9/11 when they made me take my glasses off because they were too dark.
I think this will have that beat.

Went to hair salon today and officially erased that "COVID" look, lol. Glad to put it behind me. Lets hope the look doesn't stage a return this fall and winter.

I took a walk to the beach yesterday and nobody along the way or there was wearing a mask.
Maybe people don't think they can catch it from other family members.
Restaurants are setting up outdoor picnic tables and people are packed at the tables shoulder to shoulder.
Not screened in due to fire regulations.People forget the joys of flies in your food at picnics.

I guess I'm lucky, I've been wearing my hair braided for decades and I do any trimming necessary myself. Although I haven't been out except for groceries, I haven't noticed any funny covid hair. Maybe there really are black market stylists...

There are black market stylist one of my co workers has been going to one.
There are even black market restaurants and kitchens that sell out the door with food in clam shell containers.
Then there are the black market after hours liqueur stores.
Black market fish and oysters.
Black market tamales.
Black market sausage, salami and cured meats.

I know a lot about the black market probably too much.

In the '70's, my husband got really mad when I tossed his new driver's license into the fire because the photo had such a cadaverous look. Boy, was he mad!

In the 70's where I lived it was a paper drivers license with no pictuer.
It was real easy to change the date so you could by beer and alcohol and so on.
I never did it because I didn't need to do such things to get alcoholic beverages, and it was against the law.

Hubby is getting crazed by his longer hair. He is thinking of driving to MD to get a haircut. We live in PA.
