Re: GO TO https://www.tomatojunction.com/
Thanks for all your hard work! You're doing great. (I don't mean to complain with any of the things I'm bringing up. I'm just trying to let you know what issues I'm finding to help improve things. The site's quite usable as is, though, and definitely stacks up against all the competition I've seen.)Rajun Gardener wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 7:53 pm I want you to try this, it worked for me on my cell and laptop but didn't clear all problems. Apparently there's a problem with google, it keeps your log in info for both sites and gets confused.
Go to Goggle settings at the top right of your browser, it's dots at the end, click settings then click passwords and scroll down till you see your password for tomatovillians.com. Click on the dots to the right and remove all those passwords from your Goggle memory. Just to be sure you can remove all the passwords from tomatojunction.com too. It stops all the Capcha messages and works normal
If that doesn't work please let me know!!
The directions I quoted above didn't help for the problem I described. Neither did using a never-before-used web-browser (without any data from Tomatovillians, or any other site). TomatoJunction.com just isn't creating any cookies for some reason. So, it can't remember that I was logged in. Saving passwords and logging in works just fine, however (it just doesn't keep me logged in like Tomatovillians did, even with 'Remember me' checked).
Another thing I noticed is that the title to the main page is now '-Index page' instead of what it used to be.
Other than those two things, I don't see any issues from the migration. It looks great.

Re: GO TO https://www.tomatojunction.com/
Well I guess I am finally here! Deleted the bookmark for Tomatvillians.com. What I find confusing is why at the top of the page with the heading picture of the tomatoes it still says “the Villians are Moving to the Junction”. The address bar says Tomatojunction.com so I must have “moved” right? Have to login each time but no big deal as phone and computer remember password. Looks like we’re getting there despite a few bumps along the way! Great job!

Re: GO TO https://www.tomatojunction.com/
Tried what you suggested, doesn´t work for me. I used both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Whenever I click on the Home (beside the Board index), it always opens a new tab (still reads as tomatojunction.com webpage) and directs me to re-type my login info.Rajun Gardener wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2019 7:53 pm OK, Tomato people! We have problems from the migration but I'll get them fixed.

Edited to add: I closed out all the tabs that had open for Tvillians and Tjunction, restarted my laptop and reset my modem. Try that too.
I used Google Chrome and whenever I click on the Home, it opens a new tab and the website name is changed back to tomatovillians.com and I am asked to re-type my login info.
It is so odd that with Google Chrome it opens a new tab and reads the tomatovillians.com webpage.
I clicked on the Remember Me checkbox in all 3 browsers - doesn´t really help.
Oh, and I don´t receive any Capcha messages in either 3 browsers.
I noticed that this happens when I click on Home in all 3 browsers, unless I click on Board index, it channels me in the same page and doesn´t open a new tab.
I suspect that the Home button is the gremlin here
Sorry to be a pain. I hope I am not the only one having this problem.

It may be a good idea to avoid using the Home button until the gremlin is fixed. If you use the Board Index instead, no problems. That's what I'm doing for now.

Re: GO TO https://www.tomatojunction.com/
It's as if the "remember me" check box is not working. I also have to login ever time I leave the site even though I check that box.
Clicking on Home keeps me in TJ but I have to login again. I do see tomatovillians briefly flash in the address bar but then I end up in TJ.
I am using Google chrome.

Re: GO TO https://www.tomatojunction.com/
Yes you have made it here as long as it says "tomatojuncion.com" in your address bar. We have a few bugs that we are working on right now, which are much higher on the "Do List" than the artwork for the banner. Thanks for noting the bugs that you are all finding so that we can swat them. We appreciate the help!Gardadore wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 1:36 am Well I guess I am finally here! As noted before, please do not use your "Home" button. Use the "Board Index" which is located right beside it. This will do the same function as the "Home" button is supposed to.

I'm having a lot of error messages here this morning, just thought I should mention. No doubt it will be resolved in time.

Couldn´t get in using Internet Explorer
Not complaining here... but
Wanna THANK YOU Rob and whomever else that is helping you sort this thingy out. This must be taking a lot of everyone´s time and patience and effort involved in setting the forum glitches right.
Thank you again. I feel so bad that I cannot be of much help.. except for maybe not post so much!

I'm finding that the posts do get posted, although I get that error message. If I use the Back button & refresh, it's there.

Re: GO TO https://www.tomatojunction.com/
Yes, just wanted to mention if anyone is locked out of the home page, where trying to log in sends you to an error page, use the back button and click on "Board Index" and that way I found myself logged in.
Board Index button is the way out of the post preview dead end as well.
It'll all be fixed in time, in the meanwhile those workarounds seem to do the trick.

I'm using Windows 7 and IE - Google. Maybe using Chrome would be better?
At first the site didn't remember me, and now it does. I have no idea why.
I keep getting Certificate errors especially if I click the Home section/button.

At this stage afaik the fixing has to happen at the service provider, so we will have to be patient.

Another workaround for the error message when you submit a post, is to use browser back and the refresh button on your browser. Your post will appear (or mine does, anyway!).

Re: GO TO https://www.tomatojunction.com/
This morning on my phone I could not log into tomato Junction. I kept getting the message that I was using an incorrect password. I knew that it was the right password so I was stumped. I deleted the shortcut to Tomato villains and all of a sudden I could log into tomato Junction with no problem and I stay logged in even after I exit the site and come back.

Re: GO TO https://www.tomatojunction.com/
My problem with the home page and login seems to have been resolved. So somewhere out in the ether, progress is being made. I got the same security risk warning, Patihum, when I checked the villians home page this afternoon.
