i have had only one rooster that was a problem, and that was achilles, so named by my son.
he is no longer with us. death by dog defending the flock.
most all of the others have not displayed any aggression towards us. if any young ones don't learn
their manners right away they become dog food or soup. i have had very few problems.
alfie the old guy likes being picked up, and will fall asleep in your arms. aj is pretty friendly, and one of the
sons of bubba likes being picked up. bubba was a possible concern because he seems to take his job seriously.
he keeps the other boys in line, but has never shown any aggression towards ourselves. thats good because he
is a nice looking rooster, big and strong, and alert.

I once had a rooster that would run out with the dogs and cats to greet me when I came home
It was an abandoned Easter rooster some one let loose and it ended up at my house.
His name was Chicken and Rice.
Hung out on the front porch and attacked strangers.

You can't argue with a closed mind.
You might as well be arguing with a cat.

Our gooseberry and black currant buds are starting to open up! I was worried about these guys - transplanted them last year right before some unusually cold weather, so excited to see they both made it.
Also saw our first white cabbage butterflies yesterday, glad I already have a net up over my brassicas.

You know it’s spring when the 9 banded armadillo gathers oak leaves.
