Arrr but it ain't no slicer.... be prepared to see the tiniest BLT ever????
That's if I get out to buy bacon. It could happen! ;)
See post #7.

Are you going to make me stoop to slicing an oyster cracker in half, and go to a currant tomato?
You got me beat with Sungold, already. 8-) Will have to compete for cuteness of presentation instead.

Those fluted tomatoes look excellent. What kind are they?
They are très firm! But I couldn't tell you's which variety they are, they weren't labelled; any of probably about 50...

Store bought tomato breeder to tomato taste tester.
How's the tomato?
It has a hard woody interior even after a month and no flavor.
Is it round and red?
Yes.
Well okay then what's there to complain about.

@Cornelius_Gotchberg Let me know what you think of them.

I'm sorry to say that I am housebound under lock and key. My mission to find the perfect tomato for a BLT has been aborted. I came down with covid this morning but I sure was excited. I did order my Nueske's for the grand day, so I can have a delicious bacon, cheddar and onion sammy.

More's the pity; this too shall pass.

National BLT Day will be celebrated, even unconventionally; nothin' wrong with that, am I right?

By the time your great tasting tomatoes are in full production your taste buds should have fully recovered from covid. Better to catch it now than in 3-4 weeks from now like I did last year. It was the 1st week of Sept. before my tomatoes quit tasing like styrofoam.

Well I managed to get bacon, but my small tomato is a tad not-quite-perfectly-ripe, and somehow, I forgot it was today and I'm out of bread!
I vote to extend BLT day all week, or longer as required for @MissS to get a proper T!! Get well soon, I hope it's a very light case and you kick it to the door pronto. I hope massive beautiful tomatoes in red, pink, and glowing orange/bicolor appear at your door daily until you had enough to use up all the bacon.

@worth1 I want to see the tomato that's big enough for that bacon weave!! ;)

@bower
I folded it up to make it fit the bread.
The tomato was one of those tomatoes on the truss tomatoes they sell at the store.
It's all they had that wasn't rock hard.
Mayonnaise every slice of bread double on the center two.
Cut into triangles.
I don't always eat a BLT but when I do.

Well, @worth1's celebratory sandwich is a hard act to follow, but I'm going to post my very modest and un-creative one anyway. Bulgarian Tri-Fanova tomato with bacon on plain baguette, Hellman's mayonnaise. No lettuce because I still don't have any, and to be honest, I'm not all that crazy about lettuce. Maybe there's a National BnoLT Day for me somewhere on the calendar.

Sometimes when I don't like something, I find that I still like things that taste almost exactly like it to my tongue but are different species. For instance, I like allspice quite a bit, but I don't like cloves. Something that tastes just like lettuce to me is Mary thistle leaves. I don't know if that would work for you, though!
