My only plot of slicers this year. Gonna stuff a hundred plus plants in there and hope the fungal diseases decide to go easy on me

I'm dubious but I'll say a prayer to the garden gods for you! Crowding plants isn't usually considered a good method.
Do not look upon the world with fear and loathing. Bravely face whatever the gods offer.

Thanks for your garden gods prayer, I’ve certainly been sending plenty of my own. I wouldn’t call them crowded necessarily, but they will certainly be very familiar with their neighbor plants lol

It's a very neat setup, so may the garden gods also timelapse your pruning routine into a blink.
Single stem for the slicers? Do you weave them as well as the top tie? I know you're windy too, I have to say mine need a lot of support to not be crashed by the wind here. A tight row with a good weave is a pretty good setup for that.

Single stem yup. I haven’t had to weave yet, knock on wood. I am a little disappointed in my sorghum sudan windbreak though, it hasn’t grown in like I hoped.
