That’s been a horrible traffic choked drive since at least the 1980s.

There's not hardly any countryside between Oak Hill and Dripping Springs anymore.karstopography wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 11:35 amThat’s been a horrible traffic choked drive since at least the 1980s.

There is freedom waiting for you, On the breezes of the sky, And you ask 'What if I fall?' Oh but my darling, What if you fly?

Re: Random Images of Where We Live
A rare look inside the work van.
I have two jobs going on and no place to store anything.
Not normally this messed up but it was 104F and I wanted to get home.
The black milk box looking thing is packed with tools.
The yellow conduit bender on the right I've had for close to 25 years.
Im always getting pulled off a job to go do some sort of off the wall stuff.

Re: Random Images of Where We Live
More of a day in the life of Worth.
I was scheduled to do a Fire Marshall test at a church I did some time ago yesterday (Friday).
I get there at 7 and the darn panel had 2 troubles on it.
One I fixed and the other I couldn't and didn't involve me anyway.
We had to test something like 33 duct smoke detectors above the ceiling.
I knew where every one of them were and my work mate didn't or more accurately couldn't remember.
Nor did he know how to test them anyway and it would have taken forever.
So I put him at the panel to push buttons while I did all the heavy lifting.
Plus run back to the panel a couple of times to do some programming changes.
The other guy was completely lost.
The Fire Marshall suggested I put the other guy on the ladders and me at the panel so I could take a break.
I told him flat out nothing would get done.
I had to set up ladders to take ceiling tiles out so I could put taller ladders in the hole in the ceiling.
One 6.
2 8s.
1 10.
And one 12 foot ladder.
This went on all day up until 2:30 PM without a break or a lunch.
We packed up all the ladders and left the job at 3:00.
Here are all the ladders I had to use.
It's 106F in the shade but I was inside.
Needless to say I was totally wore out yesterday and only got a couple of drinks of water out of a water fountain and nothing to eat.
And there was no crying about it.

Re: Random Images of Where We Live
I'm about 32 miles from Johnson City home of LBJ and about twice that much to Fredericksburg home of Admiral Nimitz.
I'm just outside Dripping Springs facing more or less north.
Look at that beautiful sky.
