A monarch caterpillar decided to make its chrysalis under the roof of the shed. I'll keep my eye on it so that I can watch when the butterfly emerges.

I had a very nice healthy Mexican mint marigold small shrub. Then late last month the frigid air from the North Pole came far enough south to kill the plant down to the ground. When I went to cut the plant back I noticed a green monarch chrysalis on it. I cut the branch containing the chrysalis and put it underneath the shed. Now it's about to enclose. This will happen soon. I have no idea how it survived all of that cold.
