Beautiful and sunny here for May Day, but still cool, currently around 15C/60F with a cool breeze.

Rain would be nice....it got all dark at dusk and blowing hard out of the north, but it all missed, I had about 15 drops on the windshield and that was it.

Rain drizzle and fog all week. We had 30 mm by 3 pm yesterday, rained all night, and another 20 mm expected by the end of Friday. Plenty wet but at least it's above freezing. :)

Will be 87*F today. Too hot for my spinach. There's no consistency here, this is why I don't like to grow brassica in spring.

Rain, rain and more rain. Don't need anymore rain, stuff is turning moldy as it is.

Same. My long term brassicas like cabbage and cauliflower I start in the fall. Radishes can be done in the spring since they grow quick.

Nice day, so far - getting hot again, later, another 87° forecast (!), though it's still just getting up to 72°, while I was out there, until noon. Not as much to do outside, so I'll catch up on things inside today. Tomorrow is supposed to be much nicer, only 72°, but Saturday is much cooler, and rain forecast for later Saturday, and most of Sunday, around an inch or so.

Update - It didn't quite hit 90° here today - "only" 89°, but several areas did, and got record temps, one 125 years old. I was out there quite a while, but the wind made it bearable. I was watching closely, to see if the tomatoes were being bothered, but it wasn't too bad, and didn't affect them.

currently, low 40s. been getting several days of rain. grass is starting to green up, but can't do a thing outside
for the time being. had a couple days of cruddy 30s and rain. starting tomorrow, things improve greatly. its like
an on/off switch here at times. might reach 60, and sunny. rest of the week temps should be in the 50s for highs.
lows in the upper 30s. maybe plant onion sets once it dries up a bit. too early for anything else. getting closer.
the green house is up at work, first truck load of plants has arrived. people will be swarming in with a pent up
desire for plants, and color after our U.P. winter.

Thundering out there. A barely there sprinkling of water falling from the sky. Radar is pretty colorful, though. We’ve missed out on all that rain that’s been causing so much trouble mostly north of the city. Looks like we might get something significant later today. An inch would be nice.

Another wet day, sort of like yesterday, when I got barely a half inch, though it rained almost all day. So far, only .1", even though it started around 7 am, and hasn't stopped. And it hasn't gotten over 59°, and isn't supposed to get much warmer, but tomorrow is supposed to be in the high 70s, and higher later in week. Possible rain every day in the forecast.

Cold (50 degrees) and rainy, today. This might be the last cold day until fall. The 10 day forecast is not promising, other than it being much warmer. 9 days of mostly clouds, one day of partial sunshine, possible chance of showers/rain almost every day.

Since I grow tomato seedlings outside, I've delayed starting any of them. I'm already 4 days behind schedule, and counting.

Chilly sunshine today with no wind, clear tonight with frost down to -3C/27F and as low as -7C/19F inland.
This could be hard on some shoots that are greened up through the ground. There's already some dieback on things that came out of the snowbanks green and happy, but that's what our spring is like.
13C/55F tomorrow, will be nice.

It finally stopped raining, only .14" today, despite almost constant rain, and got a little warmer, about 63° at 6 pm, and 60° looks like the lowest it's going to get overnight, but more rain, and every day "possible thunderstorms" in the forecast. I wish this rain would go to those that really need it!

Nice and warm yesterday, today snow. Well, the strawberries and tomatoes will probably be ok but I don't think the sweet potatoes will survive.

Well the floods around Houston have been all over the news...
At least I'm glad you guys were spared the worst. IDK about @SpookyShoe ?

I believe the Clear Lake area where @SpookyShoe lives got spared the worst of the rain. Everything south of the city center did not get very much rain. North of Houston was a different story.

A fellow delivering 350 pounds of live threadfin shad to our lake on Saturday said his home area near Buffalo, Texas had gotten over 14”, 355 millimeters plus, of rain in less than week.

Looks like the forecasts have the rain mostly shifting away from Texas for the next few days. Tennessee and Kentucky, though, had better watch out as weather models have them getting over 5”.
