Mostly overcast today. At least it didn't rain, that's really something.
Fertilized the plants that I was able to keep from getting all the excess rain. Popped a stupid rabbit that was eating in the yard. Despite that I was yelling at it and shooting BB's at it, it wasn't afraid of me. Brainless creature. Came back inside and a tick was crawling up my leg. That is reason #642 I do not want animals in my yard.
More unneeded storms expected Thursday afternoon. It'll be forever before I can give my other plants some liquid food. I'm surprised my onions haven't rotted.

I wish this rain would go to those that really need it!

Here is why I like to see the Temp and RH displayed at the same time...Windy.com, make that chart and I will pay for it. Temp is only half of it.
These are the night that if you open window in the bedroom and pull air through the house, you wake with a sore throat. I set that doohickey outside hours ago and forgot about it.

It even gave the guy changing the numbers a sore throat :| .

Three important things for current and near forecast : temp, RH, wind vector,,,and radar if stormy.
Most important thing for the upcoming weather : constant pressure isolines...with the direction...no so you don't have to change the map zoom to half the country to see the trend. Windy.com you could be so much better with some common sense added...and so much richer.

Another lovely start to the day earlier this morning, 47 degrees and raining.

I had dime-sized hail the other day, the first hail in many years. I guess that it's a good thing that I'm so behind with everything this year, that nothing has been planted, yet, therefore no damage.

Last night I saw a 40F and clear got snuck into the forecast for Saturday morning. It had been projected as cool wet humid lows in the high 40s for a 3 nights. I planted out the raggedly early tomatoes a couple days ago. A lot of long season stuff of mine is out including sweet corn transplants for a week. We'll see. Too much for to cover, for sure. Spring planting is always a gamble here.

87°, wind out of northeast at 17 mph, gusting to 26. Sunny, and the heavy smoke from Mexican Yucatan that has been plaguing us lately has been blown out to sea or at least out of here.

Snowed around dusk yesterday, piled up a few mm, I guess enough to make a little blanket cover for the low right around freezing, still melting this morning. No worries, but it was disappointing to be so overcast that we didn't see those 'far south' northern lights.

Just had a very brief shower. Chances of rain today and tomorrow. I planted more okra seed yesterday, plus Red Ripper and Pink Eye Purple Hull peas. Hoping for a little rain to help these germinate, the soil is dry. Funny how dry it is here with points 60-100 miles to the north getting 1/2 a year’s worth of rain in less than a week.

The Brazos River that runs about a mile from the house is in flood stage and threatening homes in the area, but there’s been little rain locally.

Only 54° at noon, and wet all morning, though only .16" so far that heavy rain forecast for later in the night must have fizzled out, by the time it got here. Down to 45° last night, and one more night like that, then I'll be able to plant my eggplants and peppers, as we are back in the 70s, and lows in the mid 50s, and even a couple in the 60s.

Yeah I'm hoping it really stops at 42 F tonight like it is called for...then maybe, hopefully, we are past the too cool nights for the spring.

I'm so sick of rain!! It's hurting my garden and molding my yard; it stinks like spoiled compost. My arm and a leg for a dome over my yard or a water resistant force field.
