Pollinators in the backyard today
Monarch on milkweed, bees on pentas and basil, fly? on English daisy. If you can grow pentas, grow a lot of them. They attract the trifecta: hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees.

Cute little flier in the 1st image and the horns of the caterpillar under the leaf above the butterfly is a great catch. The blue basil suits your pollinators well while it didn't here. I think that's weird but I don't think like an insect.
Nice seeing yours while ours are asleep for the winter.

I didn't notice that there was a caterpillar on the underside of a leaf!Growing Coastal wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 2:40 pm Cute little flier in the 1st image and the horns of the caterpillar under the leaf above the butterfly is a great catch. That's funny and fun when it happens. It's a great shot.

I love snap dragons. Sometimes they will even over-winter here. They are easy from seed too.
That's a pretty pot that you have the Penta in.

I don't recall seeing a snapdragon that colour before. Nice. I have admired that pot in another photo, as well.

Beautiful. And that shot with the butterfly and caterpillar is really great. But bees are my favorite.

Does anyone know what this is called? This type never sits still long enough for me to get any good photos.

I got a better shot of the Long Tail Skipper and you can see how the body is a beautiful aqua color.
