What are these eggs? Do I need to destroy them?

Re: Advice needed
I would guess fruitworm eggs, and thus would remove them.

Re: Advice needed
If something lays eggs on your plants, the babies are going to hatch out and eat your plants. This is fine if it's on your milkweed- it would be baby monarch butterfly caterpillars. But if it's a plant you want to remain whole, remove.

Quite often this is the case, but There are exceptions when it comes to predators. Lady bugs and lacewing immediately come to mind. I think you gotta learn if it's a friend or foe.

If it was me, I'd snip off that half of the leaf, put it in a glass jar with some gauze or flimsy fabric rubber-banded over the top, and watch to see what hatches out. Then you'll know for next time.

Re: Advice needed
For sure they aren't ladybug eggs which are orange or yellowish. I found almost identical eggs like in the pic today on the back if an eggplant leaf. They were surrounded by those small black aphid-like bugs that are harmful so I just got rid of the leaf. Last year I had plenty of ladybug eggs but this year none
