One of the swap tomatoes I planted was labeled as Pink Princess. Got ready to move my lovely seedlings into their first cup and OHHH what's this? I don't remember planting a potato leaf in this seed starter... But there they are. Two pellets labeled as Pink Princess have potato leaf plants and 1 regular leaf plant... I know that Pink Princess is listed as a gene pool so just wondering if those potato leaf are possible or?

I grew once Pink Princess last year from Fedco and it was a RL plant. I just looked at their website and it seems that one of the variations is to get orange fruit. It said nothing about leaf type. May I suggest that you contact them to see if this is one of the expected variations. Tormato may see this thread and chime in. He may know who the donor was for these seeds too and might be able to ask them about it.

yes everything I can find online is that it is a regular leaf. From my 2 pellets I got 3 potato leaf and 1 regular leaf. I went ahead and potted them all up because I love a mystery but it will be interesting.
I only planted two potato leaf varieties both dwarfs and these don't look like them...

I think you guys have an F 3 or 4, of Pink Princess with an unknown potato leafed cross. I'm saying it's that high up of an F generation because in the F2 you would only get an average of 1/4 potato leafed, in the F3 it goes to 1/2 on average. Thats if you plant a seedling from a regular leafed plant's fruit. If you selected for potato leafed, all of them would be, because potato leafed plants have no other gene to donate to an offspring than potato leafed. Who the donor of the seeds is can tell you they grew a regular leafed plant, so they may not have known it was a cross.
