Cherry Ember (Cornell)

Has anyone grown this? I grew it last year but I had problems with my seedlings and planted this one very late and didn't really get any viable fruit from it. I'm trying to decide whether to give it another shot this year, but I'm re-reading the description and it's a little...meh.

Anyone give this a thumbs up or down?
