Received a packet of Shimblenk from Renaissance Farms with an order as a gift. Not much information out there. The description and photos look nice. Just wondering if anybody's grown it and has any information to share?
Many people have eaten food from my kitchen and have gone on to lead normal, healthy lives.

From the Allegro Archives: A little known Russian, a very fertile variety for cultivation in the ground and under covers. Plants produce excellent yields until autumn in unfavorable weather conditions and at low temperatures. Fleshy, dark red fruit with high durability and a delightful, perfectly balanced sweet taste, reaching 400-800 g. Dark red flesh with small seed chambers and a strong tomato aroma like in the formerly cultivated tomatoes. 82 days to harvest.

Season 2020
100.) Shimblenk
This rogue is described as super big and tasty - the taste did itch, but I don't know what was fed to him when the shape was a different thing. 🤣 you will probably have to put your own pen in the trash so you can compare a little more ...

Thank you for the information. I've added this variety to my 2022 grow list. Ha! What's one more variety . I think I'll grow 2 plants in a raised bed and offer seeds (if it's any good) this fall.
