2023 Catalog Watch!
I enjoyed following along as people posted about their seed catalog arrivals last fall & winter, so I'm hoping some folks will want to do it again this year.
I received the 2023 Gurney's print catalog last week, with a $25 off $50 purchase coupon in it. Haven't looked through it yet.
Friday I received an email from Burpee with a link to the electronic version of their 2023 print catalog. Hope this links to it:

They're touting three new hybrid tomato varieties this year: "Vivacious" hybrid oval tomato with high beta carotene, "Two Tasty" antho cherry, and "Bliss" yellow striped long cherry/small-fruited.

Haven’t received anything in the mail yet but I’ve noticed that Johnny’s Seeds and others have created their ‘New for 2023’ links online.

Re: 2023 Catalog Watch!
I love when the catalogs start coming and used to request all the ones I could find. But I started feeling guilty about just using them for inspiration and buying online or not at all. Websites are harder to casually browse but I don’t have a stack of paper to recycle. Still, I do keep receiving some from companies that don’t maintain their mailing lists very strictly so I get something of a fix.

Re: 2023 Catalog Watch!
And so it begins, eh? And it's not even Thanksgiving yet. LOL! I never get anything before then. It will be interesting to see if anyone else sends catalogs earlier than usual this year, trying to get ahead of the early ordering rush that I think might happen due to the recent seed buying frenzy.
I usually write down on my calendar what catalogs come on what day. Last year the first one that came was from Pinetree on Nov 16th. Then I didn't get another until Dec 1 when Seeds 'n Such came.

Seeds'N'Such has increased prices from 2.99 to 3.99! I'm glad I bought seeds in August, when everything was on sale, but there may still be varieties I "need" once the new catalog comes out.

I already paid for Baker Creek’s “Full Catalog”
Looking forward to that one, although no idea on their timing.

DING! DING! DING! DING! DING!
@Toomanytomatoes has won the prize for receiving the first catalog of the new season. What prize, you ask? Why, the envy of the rest of us who are impatiently tapping our toes and watching the mailbox. It's like Ralphie waiting for his Little Orphan Annie secret decoder ring.

Ok, Ok. TWO tied for first place although technically only one was the first to post. But since there were no rules to begin with, prizes for anyone getting a catalog this year. Ta daaaaaa! All fixed. Ya make it up as you go along. That said, Gotch almost got the trap door for making it up as HE went along.

I got my Dixondale 2023 onion catalog quite a while ago but I won’t be clawing shamelessly for any sort of accolades. I’m content with just watching this. Whatever it’s become.

Re: 2023 Catalog Watch!
It seems they've reorganized the format, getting more stuff on one page maybe due to smaller print?. That's the first thing that struck me. I still have last year's and will compare the two today if I remember to do it.pepperhead212 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 14, 2022 9:51 pm Same here - Pinetree first one today.
