Howdy from Texas
Longtime lurker and infrequent tomato forum participant from as far back as the old Garden Web days. Can’t seem to access my account at another forum. I started growing tomatoes in the early 2000s, but have done a lot more dreaming about tomatoes than growing them. Managed to get a few plants in this year and as is usual for spring, my eternal gardening hopes are renewed once again. I tend to lose interest in gardening once the terrible horrible no-good rotten Texas heat kicks in. Looking forward to seeing some familiar names and faces here.

Hello and welcome to the Junction. It sounds like many Texan's give up their gardens in the hot weather. Who wouldn't. The tomatoes stop producing in the high temps, but then if you start some seeds in late July you can get another fall crop before temps fall for the winter!

Thank you! Yes, I’m very interested in the possibility of fall tomatoes. The will always fades as the temperatures rise. This could be the year, though.MissS wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 9:07 pm Hello and welcome to the Junction. It sounds like many Texan's give up their gardens in the hot weather. Who wouldn't.
