What did you think? Tell me about it including your climate and whether it was a good season or not.

Secret Seed Cartel had it at one point but their website says out now. Enormous.

They are the only US site that carried it. Unless someone here grew it and saved seeds. At least I have a lot of time to find seeds (September).

I grew it last year and gave two plants to other excellent Denver gardeners. All of us found it amazing. Wispy vines and a mid-late producer here but huge fruits. Little cavities of air. Many fruits presented almost as hearts. Just an excellent sauce tomato for sure. it wasn't so dry that I didn't enjoy eating it as well, however. Hope that helps.

We grew it and liked it. Most of the fruit were either fat paste types or skinny hearts. Thick and meaty. My mom really loved the taste of the sauce from these and saved seeds to grow again this year.
We're in South Dakota and had about an average year, other than two wind storms that didn't have a tremendous effect on the place these were grown.

I believe I got these from the MMMM. The number of seeds is missing from my spreadsheet. I can probably send you a few, and if I have very few, I would be willing to send them if you will send me seeds from your grow. I won't be able to grow this variety this year.

I grew it last year from seeds, which I purchased from Secret Seed Cartel. I have not usually had good luck of growing this type tomatoes in the greenhouse, but got quite many good tomatoes from this one. Unfortunately I do not anymore remember how these tasted.

@Barb_FL , just looked through the MMMM paste tomato list and @Tormato has it mentioned there. I suspect a lot of seed may be migrating a lot further than Florida shortly too. Beautiful tomato @svalli

I got seeds of this one in the MMMM and after reading the descriptions online I allocated three spaces for it. I will add it to my “to save” list as it sounds like there is interest in it.

Re: Has anyone ever grown Pomodoro Cuore Antico di Acqui Terme?
I [zone 6 Ontario, Canada] grew it last season in a 20 gallon container, as I do many of my tomatoes, and found it to be more susceptible to BER than my other container tomatoes. I think that varieties susceptible to BER struggle in containers, so I would need to grow it again in the ground to give it a fair assessment.

My mom just got back to me and says she has some seeds, too, if someone needs some. She already has three seedlings growing. PM me to let me know.

Thank you for the replies. I have seed coming. TJ is the best; quite a few people knew about the tomato.
