Saltwater Farms’ Seacom kelp and the like

I seem to remember people reporting using Saltwater Farms kelp products with good results a few years ago. I purchased some but I can’t recall if I ever used it. It’s gotten lost over several moves since then.

Did it turn out to have associated problems? Is anybody still using it? Is it still being made? What’s a good substitute?

(I do not like using anything with a smell. That’s like ringing a dinner bell for the critters in my neck of the woods. I don’t recall Seacom having a smell.)

I don't think that they are in business anymore. It did get good reviews back in the day but I myself have never used it.

Thank you. That seems a shame. From what I recall, their product was unique in some way. I’ll do a search for kelp and ‘sea’ what comes up.

I decided to purchase a gallon of Fox Farms Kelp Me Kelp You. I figure that will last a good while. If I form any opinions, I will share them here. If I remember. :D

I have GSPlant foods kelp concentrate. The concentrate smells like tons of sargassum rotting for days in the hot sun on the beach, if you ever had the chance to experience that fragrance. Diluted to foliar feed strength, the odor is pretty tame.

PS: mentioning using a foliar spray like kelp on tomatoes tends to get some folks worked up, be advised.

Wow, that sounds like good stuff! I’ll try that next time.

I had no idea about the foliar feeding controversy. I’ll have to file that with black panther sightings as surprising things that get a rise out of people.
