A new version of the software will be completed today, we might have some downtime but it shouldn't take long. You might have to log-in again once it's complete. Thanks for your patience.

This morning I was unable to access the site at all -- I had what sounded like the same problem @bower talked about, where the page was just entirely blank. The only way I could access the site was to use a private browsing window so I wasn't logged in. That way, I could see the site normally, but of course I couldn't post.

Now, after the software upgrade, I can see the site while logged in, but it doesn't look right. I have the problem other people talked about before, where the top picture takes up the whole page. There's also a dark border around everything, taking up space.

If I log out, everything looks normal, more or less the way it used to be before today.

Also, when I accessed the site for the first time after the upgrade, I had one new notification, but it was a blank notification with no content except a timestamp of today (Saturday) at 6:47am. I marked that as read and it's gone now so it's not a problem; just mentioning it because it was strange.

My Firefox browser is showing a grey background bar above the main header, but it doesn't take the whole page and is not a real bother. Just so happy to be logged in again!
Thank you @Rajun Gardener for all the fixins!!

I'm almost positive the header picture is causing that problem. It's from Dec of 2019 when we first started and I had to crop it to work. I'll work on a new photo this week and also make it smaller.

@zeuspaul No new toys with this one, it was all nerdy behind the scenes stuff that works better on different platforms and browsers. Is there an option or feature that you think would be good to have? Let me know and I'll check on it.

Just that hopefully some of the glitches people were having are gone. Otherwise it's business as usual.

Good job Rajun, I was mid post construction when the upgrade started, a couple hours later, two refreshes and I was still there mid sentence and pics. Very clean job.

I'm working on that, I'll make a much smaller header too.

Having spent a lot of time on VBulletin forums, this software has some great advantages (like photo posting is soooo simple), but the thing I find annoying here is multiple quotes. It's very awkward and really requires a lot of editing in the reply box to get things to come out the way you want them. I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do about that, though.

I would like to see a longer list of posts in New Posts under the Quick Links menu. If I can't find a recent thread using search or my memory I go to New Posts. I would like to scroll through at least a few days posts.

Getting the large picture/banner whenever I logout on the phone after the update. All normal while logged in so no real issue.

New Posts, I think, are controlled by what you have clicked on. So if you are clicking and reading them all, then aren't New any more. Currently I have "more than 1000 matches" with the newest 25 on page 1, 26-50 on page 2, etc.

EDIT : The above I described is Unread Posts, that I get when I click on New Posts from the menu New Posts< Home< Community Guidelines and Expec...etc

That is different from New Posts from the Quick Links pull down. That returns only 21, with GoDawgs Open Sesame from 543pm yesterday being the last.

EDIT2: I do not see a way to change that on the USER CP, @zeuspaul might be right on the New Posts stretching back a little further. I don't know what criteria is, the last 21 posts, the last 18 hours, but it does appear to be server side control?

Probably a good idea, if possible, to change that menu
New Posts< Home< Community Guidelines and Expec...etc
to instead display
Unread Posts < Home < Community Guidelines and Expec...etc

Since that Link does resolve to Unread Posts.

I have over 1000 New Posts (unread New Posts) which is what I use most of the time. Today I have 13 New Posts (all new posts including the ones I have read) found in the Quick Links menu. I am guessing it has something to do with hours? I don't have a problem with the terminology as it is, best to keep it short. Extending the length of time for previous read New Posts would be useful. It helps me find a post which I failed to bookmark. It is a minor issue.
