pays to keep those receipts

What are the odds against being able to read a 5 year old walmart receipt? They are usually faded out in 3 months for me.

Re: pays to keep those receipts
i am not one of those people that saves grocery receipts for very long.
they have come in handy when the produce that was purchased turned out
to be yuck. i would want to know what is the evidence of wrong doing. there
is either evidence of it or there isn't. another law suit to make the lawyers money.
merchants are instructed to have accurate weights and measures. that is biblical.
i cant quote chapter and verse, but its there in the old testament i think.
that being said, some people never cheat, some people cheat some of the time, some
people cheat all the time.

Balance scales and scales of this type are some of the most accurate scales I know of.

Haha, what country you living in keith?
Remember when that famous, charismatic football player cut his ex wifes head off and killed her supposed boyfriend, then walked? All the current day lawyers watched that as a kid, they know what they can get away with.
It is truly ridiculous. A lawsuit for something absolutely unprovable, and the store pays hush money, which is indirectly passed to us consumers.
Meanwhile, I think there SHOULD be a lawsuit to make walmart use proper unit price labels, same units for same products. They always did, like everyone else, until just a few years ago. Now they have by per package, per oz, per lb mixed into the same product type.
I think there should an Act passed in congress to require standard weights, measures, and product shapes for packaging. No more 14 oz, to 13 oz, etc. Lock it at 16 oz. Lock ice cream back to Rectangular boxes that stay cold, 1 pint or 2 qts. Shipping would be cheaper, use less energy, less gas. As it is, they shrink the product but keep the package as big or bigger, which cost shipping money for space or refrigeration.
But not frivolous stuff like this that costs the consumer more money and makes greedy lawyers richer.

yah, how naive of me.
a prosecutor that i know very well, said THAT trial would have had a different outcome in their court room.
this person was a prosecutor for about 40 years, helped put away some very bad people, felons of all types
including cop killers. anyway, i believe in justice, if not in this world, then in the world to come. there WILL
be justice.

I'd be happy to see some of the evidence they used to start the lawsuit.
Walmart seems to have a (((Target))) on its back lately.

Re: pays to keep those receipts
I bought the wrong diabetic test strips at walmart and lost my receipt.
Would seem to be a moot point since the guy pointed out you can't return rx stuff like that anyway even with a receipt.
He let me trade that unopened box for the proper test strips because they were identical priced.
So I was able to continue living without barking at the moon.

Re: pays to keep those receipts
Could you be thinking of this from Luke 6:38?
"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."
Oops, this one applies better:
Deut. 25:13-15
13“You shall not have in your bag differing weights, a heavy and a light. 14You shall not have in your house differing measures, a large and a small. 15You shall have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure, that your days may be lengthened in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
