I couldn't resist playing with that scammer email.
I used a linux live cd so my pc wouldn't be infested and clicked on the link.
I used bogus info which should have been rejected but made it to the final verify stage where they steal your credit card info.
That bogus number and cvv didn't make it to their desired result.
The link looked legit with the chase logos.
I don't even have a chase account and only used that email address for old forum sites years ago.
Don't even read emails that look bogus.
If I had a stent it would be internal and not easily removed.

The scammers went from trying to infest to just getting credit card info.
Probably too many different devices out there to make infesting feasible.

I feel sorry for the elderly or people that get terrified easily.
All the sites look legit.

I bought seeds online years ago and all my info got ripped off.
I still get spam email from the other side of the earth.
They charged a CC that wasn't even activated yet.
It was a transition period between old and new card.
I purposely had a card with $500 limit just for online buys.
The bank boosted it to $1000 and that happened.

We recently had to delete our credit card because somehow somebody ordered some stuff using our card. The company caught it and sent us a warning. I called the company direct so as not to get "phished", cancelled the card, ordered a new one...what a pain it is to change the method of payment where we used the card. Then to decide how to proceed in the future. The card company will not pay the strange transactions, but being without the card for "4 to 7 business days" is an inconvenience but better than being scammed.

The company owned shared services Air line that took us from Anchorage to Dead horse went from cash to credit card for our two alcoholic drinks we could purchase on the way south back to Anchorage.
Well that didn't last long.
The system got hacked and the bank shut my card down along with a bunch of other people.
I get a call from the bank I didn't trust it and told the lady I would call the bank.
It was true.
