A quick post to reassure that those of you still in the grips of northern winter that there is hope! Spring moves fast around here.
Here is oak leaf progress from Mar 29 to April 4, one week. We now officially have some shade.

Our daffodils and hyacinths are out, and we've had a few days in the high 60's, nights at 50F. But still a couple of weeks before i start planting the greens.

In another week or so I’ll have to cut gras for the first time this season.

Love seeing updates like this, it’s that perfect reminder that no matter how long winter feels, spring always shows up

My 'Georgia Petite' Indian Hawthorne (Raphiolepis indica) is now blooming in front of the porch. The back side always starts first and my guess is that the warmth from the foundation blocks makes that happen.

No scent but it's always pretty.

We are getting there. Every fruit tree has more blossoms than usual. The trees and shrubs were tired of the cold, too.

Your Redbud is just beautiful. I can't wait to see them blooming up here. They are such a delight to see.
