This year I am mostly sticking to ….JAPANESE....origins mini dwarfs as my 3 favorites ..

2) Rejina Yellow
3) Chibikko
what are your 3 favorite mini dwarfs (or even near mini dwarfs )?

I like Hardin's Mini, and Bajaja. True, they are the only two I've ever tasted, but both are good tasting.

I would like to breed a micro dwarf dark cherry. What would you cross to get a dark tomato?

I think Tasmanian Chocolate was my favorite out of the dwarf project. For a microdwarf, I like Aztec, a yellow cherry. For a red slicer, Mano is my favorite dwarf variety.

Linda, Patio Choice Yellow F1, and Aztek. Aztek is a micro; both of the others are minis. Still looking for #3 as a (larger) mini. Linda is a small saladette; Patio Choice Yellow is a large, sweet, cherry. It provides more sweet-tasting cherries than any OP I've grown to date. But all of these provide our earliest relief from the winter grocery store tomatoes!

I like Whippersnapper (because it's so early and extremely prolific if the pot is large enough),
Birdie Jaune and Birdie Rouge (rather "big" cherries for such small plants)
new-to-me this year:
Paulinchen (should be yellow; means "Little Paula" in English)
Sibirische Zimmertomate (in English: Siberian Room Tomato)
Blaue Zimmertomate ("Blue Room Tomato")
I'm growing them all this year, so if you are interested... wait till this fall and the seeds will be yours!

Hard to believe I have still only grown ONE microdwarf! Red Dwarf. Just put 50+ of them into cell packs today, mostly to give away.
I will have to try others another year (or at least, make some crosses!). Looking forward to the ones Dan Follett is breeding as well! And KarenO.

if Yukon Quest could be called a 'mini' dwarf it was good for me one year. Sweet tasting pink fruit on a 2 foot or so plant.

I did like Aztek.. but of the yellow micros, I loved Sweet n neat Lemon Sherbet F1 even more! Tangy, fruity flavour.
Red Robin continues as my fave red micro... always good, but needs heat to be really delicious.

I grow Yukon Quest pretty much every year ….it is so adaptable and flexible …..for smallish pots even …Growing Coastal wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 7:00 pm if Yukon Quest could be called a 'mini' dwarf it was good for me one year. Sweet tasting pink fruit on a 2 foot or so plant.
like one of its parents Buddai torpe … I would not call it a mini and it does better of course in more generous size pots .

Little Sun - the nicest yellow fruited windowsill tomato that I've grown
Mega Bite / Megabyte - the windowsill tomato with the biggest fruit that I've grown

I wanted to try Hahms Gelbe and bought seeds twice from 2 different vendors. Never got one to germinate.
The one compact I grow every year is Husky Cherry Red. I love those little devils.

Hahms Gelbe is worth it ! ...when you get it to germinate for you... keep some seeds ...don't look back !

I never had a problem with germination and use my own own seed ...but it is not one of the 40 varieties i grow this year

I tried Yellow Canary a few years ago, found it pretty bland. But people's tastes differ.
Tiny Tim etiolates dramatically indoors, I think it has that SunDwarf gene.
I have two Hahms Gelbe Topftomate seedlings this year, they are doing well so far.
