Strangely they are much worse on my Android phone than on my desktop. On my phone this morning as soon as I opened the site I had a big ad at the top talking about Trump and with a dancing alien. It didn't make a lot of sense to me. I was able to scroll past it.

No it was some announcement about a Trump program relating to mortgages. I didn't read it but there was a green alien dancing all around beside the text. I don't know what that was supposed to mean. It was totally strange.

Maybe the opportunity was supposed to be seen as rare or alien/new to us. Maybe it makes sense in another culture.

I recalled there was a way to use amazon affiliate that instead of going to a direct item, it's to the main page of Amazon, but still have the referral.
Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/?tag=referrer_id
