@worth1 I love them too now, and both sprouts and fava beans seem to be all mine for the taking when I cook them. Funny thing that....

This is about half of the last harvest of the season. It took me two hours to pick, sort and tidy plants. The fruit are so much larger with the rains we have had over the last few weeks, but also more splitters that I have junked. This lot is destined for paste and indoor ripening.

Garotte bicolour has thrown lots more large fruit and very pleased with the yield on the Heidi plum.

@GoDawgs that's the ramalet Bombetta. I have some hanging in my garage for Christmas.

The first filial smfl x tasmanian chocolate. Hoping to isolate the super multiflora on subsequent generations but still quite a few blooms on this already....

THERE you are!!!! Good to see you again! I was afraid the Covid mess might have toted you off or maybe you fell into the English Channel and washed up in France.

Was Dolly Parton good to you this year?

@GoDawgs Dolly is taking a rest this year, trying another cross and assortment of others and some more veggies. Only just finished the last bag of frozen Tom's from last year recently so cutting back a bit this year for space for potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn and assorted veggies

Loving this hydroponics setup, it's only cheap and small scale but just masses of herbs for meals everyday...just loving it and so simple.

We're off to a slower start this season as well, but patience is a virtue when it comes to green fruit.
I hope you're escaping some of the heat and drought that's hitting Europe again this year.

@bower yes thanks, so far we are. In fact the weather is rather nice for growing but some parts of Europe are facing incredible heat as is America I think.
But all good here so far....

Both of the F1 Supermultiflora crosses have expressed multiflora traits by the look of it. Not as expressive as last years parent plant but I think the cross is looking positive. There were a ridiculous number of branches and flowers last year, this cross seems to have a more sensible quantity but plenty nevertheless. Hopefully as the tomatoes develop we see some differences at the fruit level too.

Recording for the vlog, the crosses seem to be exhibiting 7 long slender sepals (the same as the tasmanian chocolate) compared to the shorter ones on the parent smfl. Add to that the leaf structure also appears more asking to TC as well. All in all looking positive.

The two crosses are developing and yuk, diverging by the looks of it. Strange, similarities and differences. Just have to wait to see what further growth and ripening brings. Growing habit between them is very consistent, it just looks like the fruit.
