Dark Winds series on AMC. Producers were Robert Redford and George R.R. Martin, so I figured it had to be good. Just finished streaming the first season - 6 episodes, on my cell phone. For some reason, the app cuts out when I tried to cast to TV, so I've been watching an episode in bed every morning before I get up. Great Native American cast and storylines.

Definitely worth the watch. We're hoping Season 3 is released pretty soon.

Me too!

Although, I liked the originals, from the 60s & 70s, better.

Jesus Revolution

Good film.
I witnessed much of that and it helped influence me in my own opinion and belief in religion to this day.
A rather bizarre bunch of people for the time that turned fundamental Christianity and the church on it's head.
I've even got one of those "Hippie Bibles" here at the house my wife had back in the 70's.
My cousin ran around California dressed up like Jesus would back then as well.
Long hair and beard sandals or barefoot and robes.
I was criticize for my hippie like clothes and dress in the Church I went to as well.
Cut your hair wear a suit get new shoes don't wear cowboy boots to church take the cross out of your ear in church take the head band off.
You name it they had a problem with it.
My response was I'm not here to satisfy your ideas but to have a personal relationship with Jesus, I don't care what your judgement is of me.
That shut them up and I walked out.
I was around 17 at the time and it was 1975.

I think the most important thing the movement did for society was to take religion from the stuffy religious authorities and put it back in the hands of the people as Jesus intended all along.
My highly religious stuffy father welcomed these crazy rock music playing hippies with open arms and realized there were more people out there like me.
This was also the time my father and I started getting along and he started calling me his little hippie.
The Jesus revolution did that.
Later in life I sat around smoking weed with these Jesus people in many places.
Good people that didn't follow old teachings about how you should act and feel about everything.

A long drawn out reply but I like putting my thoughts down and sharing them.

Well the Sherlock Holmes movie was a big letdown.
It had hardly nothing to do with the storyline in the book.
The main part of the book was in Utah with the Mormons.
This adaptation was all in England in part 1.
They totally left out all of part 2.
Without part 2 it's pretty much meaningless.

I haven't watched it since last year, but you might appreciate Front of the Class. It's about a man with Tourette Syndrome who strives to become an elementary school teacher. There's no foul language in it. He has barking tics. It's quite family-friendly. It's a motivational movie based on a true story.

As for what I'm actually watching these days, a few hours ago, we watched Miracle Maker, 2015 (not to be confused with The Miracle Maker). In recent memory, we've mostly been watching Best Cake Wins, Relative Race, and Ruby and the Well, with some movies here and there. Before that, we watched a lot of Hallmark movies. We still have a subscription to Hallmark Movies Now (via hmnow.com), but we've been taking a break from that and watching more stuff on BYU TV.

Tubi has a lot of free content, if you need something free. Same for the Roku Channel and BYU TV. You might need a Roku player to watch the Roku Channel for free (but I'm not sure).

K-19 The Widowmaker on YouTube.
Great movie that got little attention when it came out.
Based on a true story of a nuclear Russian submarine disaster.

I watched Castaway with Tom Hanks.
It was so predictable I was able to fast forward several times and ended up watching the movie in about half the time.

You can actually go and look at all their free movies list and there are other channels that have off the wall free movies.
Something like movie central I think.

Finished the 3er season of Ragnarok on Netflix yesterday. Very bad flavor in my mouth because of the last plot twist

No this was an old one from the 30s.
Your thinking of Robert Downey Jr in the modern versions the guy with the alcohol and drug problems.

I highly doubt they would ever make A Study in Scarlet these days.
It would be too controversial.

I think it's about time they put The bridge on the river Kwai back on for our annual dose of all things English.
I bet it's free in a couple of months.
