SSE Data Collection Project
Seed Saver Exchange has a Data Collection Program through which community members can grow out seeds in the bank that are missing information in order to update the database description. You are allowed to choose three varieties per year. If you go into the exchange database, you can select the vegetable and the provider SSE, then scroll through to see which ones are missing a description. SSE will check that the selections are eligible and then send the seeds at the appropriate time. Note this is a commitment to grow the seeds the season you receive them and return information by November. (See attached notice from 2023.)

Re: SSE Data Collection Project
Interesting program, thanks for posting it. Unfortunately, anyone not already in it will have to wait until 2025; here's the note on the website now:
- Editor’s Note: Thank you for your interest and enthusiasm for the ADAPT program. We have reached our capacity and the trial sign-ups are now closed.

Re: SSE Data Collection Project
The ADAPT program is not the same as the Data Collection Program. For the ADAPT program, SSE has preselected varieties that are more common that you can select. The Data Collection Program is for seeds that were donated, but they have no information, or the information is minimal. ADAPT has many people growing the same varieties, whereas the Data Collection Program has hundreds you can choose, and you may be the only person who selects it to grow out. Email and Josie will get back to you.
