People are going TOO crazy over the eclipse. Businesses are just seeing it as a money boom to by seeing 'Eclipse' food like Sun Chips is. It's stupid!
Amazon is taking my glasses back plus a refund.

i think it is going to be a non event here.
it is raining, and overcast. last i saw, the path of the eclipse is going to be
south of us, so i am not sure what if anything is going to happen here. maybe a little darker
than normal for awhile. we have a lot of gloomy days during the winter here when we don't
see the sun for days. so, no big deal here i reckon.

The skies are leaden. I can't see anything but gray. 🙁

We are having fun. My 85 year old mom wanted to see it. Weather is great out here in Kimble county. Plenty of nature, birds, flowers, trees, river. The eclipse is just icing on the cake.

Eclipse will be a non event here to thanks to the luck of Texas weather. Very overcast. I was given a safe pair of eclipse glasses but I guess they won't get used. I will watch out the window though and see if it gets darker.

There were intermittent clouds, but the sun would come out from behind them fairly often so we were able to get a pretty good look at the progress of the partial eclipse. At the height of the eclipse we could see only a sliver of the sun.

If people had exterior lighting with photocells, the lights turned on.

My phone's not fancy enough to get good zoomed in, clear pics of distant stuff. Couldn't get a decent one through my glasses. Clouds made a nice filter though for crescent photos. It didn't get dark here. Birds kept singing. Bugs were horrendous. Frog in my garden clicked.
