Is that a stick?
My old dog Bullet loved sticks.
She wouldn't swallow but just break them into slivers.

Decades ago, I had a friend who's black lab wasn't into sticks.

It liked logs. Dead wood, about 3 to 4 inches in diameter, about 3 to 4 feet long. It looked like it worked out at a gym.

Another friend's black lab didn't like tennis balls.

It liked rocks. They took it to a pond, thew out a tennis ball, and the one time their dog couldn't find the ball, it dove down about 20 feet and came up with a similar-sized rock. From that day on, only rocks.
