Re: 2024 Leap Year Of The BLT!
Not a world in which you's want to live, am I right?
Anywho, last of THOSE varieties; still have some Orange Accordions and Young Stickler Crosses, which are firm as firm can be and should last a few more weeks. This season was a HORRIBLE for Mountain Merits, which store/last the longest. If we get garden Tomatoes for BLTs up until the week of Thanksgiving, it's been a good year.

A bit jealous. I have a single fruit left that I am saving for my grandma in the nursing home tomorrow. Next year I hope to freeze dry slices. I did purchase a grow tower so I can at least have some items inside during the winter. I am already dreaming of the 2025 garden and what magical items might appear at my door for participating in the MMMM. Enjoy and saver those goodies!

And save a spot in yer garden for the Young Strickler Cross (viewtopic.php?p=135988#p135988), the divine @MissS will have many Many MANY of that (IMO) marvelous variety's seeds to distribute in the MMMM.

Well, crap! I missed that post all together. Have already shipped my seeds with a handwritten request list, it will probably be frowned upon if I add it to my online lists and they no longer matchCornelius_Gotchberg wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 5:27 pmShould mention that we still have beau coup Mountain Magics ripening.Homegrwoninillinois wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 4:48 pmA bit jealous. Don't you worry. I put up my own seed offer of competition seeds in January. These and some other fantastic ones will be offered for a SASE then.Homegrwoninillinois wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 5:46 pmWell, crap! I missed that post all together. Re: 2024 Leap Year Of The BLT!
I would not call these seeds a cross as the Young was a child of the Stickler and not pollinated by it what so ever. I would call it the Young Strickler Competition Tomato.Cornelius_Gotchberg wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 5:27 pmShould mention that we still have beau coup Mountain Magics ripening.Homegrwoninillinois wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 4:48 pmA bit jealous. I didn’t put what I was sending in unless someone requested it. Otherwise my lips are sealed (my mom would also say this is a first for me)
