RIP Clara (Sylvia)
Our friend from Germany died yesterday.
Sylvia was a very keen tomato grower who grew 100+ varieties every year! She loved to grow cherry tomatoes in hanging baskets, and generously shared her seeds and knowledge with many of us here.
I'm so sorry to have lost a good friend.
RIP Sylvia.

What a sad loss to our community. In addition to her generosity, I loved her enthusiasm for growing cherry tomatoes in baskets, and even rain gutters if I remember correctly. She will be missed greatly.

Sylvia will be missed for me. I think about her every day.
She helped me to grow old seeds from our German genbank and discovered the "67 jährige aus Babelsberg"yellow. Than she got "Henrys sunshine" from Ted Maiden to germ. I am so sad.

Oh my! Sylvia and I exchanged LOTS of messages and seeds! I was going through unfiled seed bags, and I just thought of her.

Clara and I got into "discussions" over gun ownership in the US but we still remained friends.

A loss for her friends, family and the gardening community. I can only hope she went with peace and a joyous heart.
