I woke up to winds blowing hard around 3am and by 4am rain was coming down hard. The weather alerts started sounding off but for places several counties north, south or east of us. We're fine; The Slot did its job again. :) 1.2" of much needed rain too so the peas planted yesterday got watered in. Just a few Helene hangers were blown out of trees. That will keep happening for a while. Winds gusting to 30-35 all day so I'll play indoors.

The rain has let up, but still coming down. Earlier, it started around 2:30 pm, but around 4 pm it started getting very heavy, gushing out of the downspouts for over an hour. It finally slowed down from those downspouts around 5:15, but it's still coming down at a generous clip. I'll find out tomorrow how much came down. It got to 61°, and tomorrow is supposed to be cooler, at around 52°, which is still a few degrees above average.

Kind of windy today, but nothing like yesterday. 72° for the high, going to 45° tonight. 67° high tomorrow. More sunshine. Maybe a bout of rain, a little for Sunday, then more dry and temperate weather. This tends to be the more dry season here at least into May or June.

It's been cold here. Temperatures a few C below zero/ in the 20's F, but windchills way below that. You think you might get out and do something but no. Okay you can go forth fully dressed for it if you are highly motivated, otherwise, forget it, wait.
Some highs above freezing for the next four days, somewhat soggy though.
We have no buildup of snow, so I won't be surprised if we go into spring with a drought.

That big front romped about up here pretty good. I was up really late as the wind was noisy and I tend to not trust noisy winds gusting about too much. The lightening was spectacular for about a half hour, along with a heavy pour of rain and the tink tink tink of little bits of hail bouncing about. A symphony from the sky that was full orchestra while it lasted, we needed the rain. A nice cup of hot tea and a good book with the cat keeping me company in case nature's marching band got out of control. After, a good peaceful sleep with the occasional polite rain shower was good.

When the booming and flashing first started, the cat came skidding into the front room where I was, then tried her best to be non-nonchalant, strolling the last bit to sit near and complain about the noise. She must have thought I could turn it down, or simply wished to register her complaint, but after she had her say so about it, settled down on my lap and slept.

7C/45F here today, very wet! Gusting over 40 mph from south.
Out on an errand, it rained so hard I had to set the wipers on "Elon Musk".

It got to 69° today, and sunny all day. Only a little windy, compared to the last several days. Eventually, I had to take my flannel shirt off, when it started getting warmer. Tomorrow is supposed to be 70°, then 2 days down to 60°, which is still warmer than average, before getting even warmer again. No rain forecast until Saturday night.

Yesterday tied the record 66°F/18.9°C; it fell back to 48°F/8.9°C today but tomorrow'll warm right back up.

Speaking of tomorrow, I set out/filled most of the Bird Baths today, and the Feathered Friends are frolicking like there ain't gonna be one...

53 yesterday. 23 today.
tomorrow and onward it starts warming up again with highs in the 40s, and low
below freezing. maple syrup time is upon us. still have a quart from last year from
niemala farm. we NEVER buy the fake syrup off the store shelf. no significant snow
in the forecast. i won't be cleared for tractor duty at least until my stitches come
out on the 19th this month, but my wife is able to operate the tractor.
i got a lawn chair out of the barn, and put it on the deck. we have been holding our
sweet little cat miina. she thinks it is purrrrrrrrrrrfect.
days are sunnier. spring is on the way.

Just had our first recordable rainfall since 24 February. Not a lot only be one or two mm in gauge when I check it in the morning but at least it's some. Only 38 mm/1.52 inches since the start of the year, which for here is very dry, no wonder place is brown apart from the cooch grass

Nice, 50s overnight, 76° today, 85° tomorrow, with winds coming out of the deserts of south west Texas and Mexico making it extra warm, then trending cooler into the weekend and early next week, mostly mid 70s. 50s at night. Remaining dry. Lots of sun. Pretty nice all around garden weather, kind of what is needed to keep cool season and warm season crops both reasonably happy.

Forecast to get up around 35C/95F here tomorrow then we are supposed to get some rain on Sunday, anything upto an inch, our does from TC Alfred that dumped on SE Queensland and northern NSW. Was very patchy with some very heavy falls, just hoping that we get closer to the inch that the 3 mm /0.12 inch we got from the TC that hit the west coast about 3 weeks ago

Supposed to be in the 60sF today and tomorrow with storms and strong winds. This is delaying my radio antenna project due to the poor potential results of mixing electrical things with water! But I can run over to the pantry garden and do some inventory at least. That'll give PA some lead time with my shopping list.
